- Produced Water Treatment Plant

Dumping of garbage and sewage into water bodies leads into a reach nutrients. These reach nutrients lead into eutrophication of water bodies by increasing growth of algae and weeds like water hyacinth. Excessive algal growth interferes for penetration of light and reduces dissolved oxygen levels in water bodies, hence obstructing the growth of other aquatic organisms and aquatic ecosystem. Due to reduced dissolved oxygen, anaerobic degradation of organic matter takes place, which leads to the production of foul-smelling gases like ammonia and hydrogen sulphide, causing odour issues in the locality.
